Rev. 𐊅𐊅𐊚𐊏𐊁𐊇𐊁 Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet; all within circular incuse. Falghera -. Hurter, Tissaphernes 12 var. (same obverse die, but differing reverse). Müseler -, cf. Slightly granular and minor marks, otherwise, very fine.



This piece was struck from the same obverse die as Peus 428 (2021), 298, and Hurter, Tissaphernes 12. In those examples, however, a symbol appears before the portrait of Ddenewele, which is lacking on our die. The symbol was evidently added to the die at a later stage.
